Does every Lake County home need the same backup power setup?

No. The right discussion depends on the home’s electrical equipment, the loads you want to run and how long you want them available. List essential devices and ask for the system limits and site requirements to be explained before deciding.

What should I have ready when I ask about a Lake County project?

Share your community, the equipment involved, what has changed and what outcome you want. For solar or backup power, recent electricity use and a list of priority circuits are useful. The property still needs to be assessed before a recommendation is finalized.

Plan Your Home Energy Options in Lake County

Lake County includes Clearlake and Lakeport, smaller towns around Clear Lake and communities farther across the county. A home near the lake, a rural parcel and a home in town may have different equipment, electrical and access considerations. Jonas Energy Solutions can discuss heating and cooling, solar and battery storage, and backup power based on your goals and property details, not a one-size-fits-all assumption.

Describe your property before choosing equipment

Share your community, whether the property is in town or rural, and which rooms or equipment are affected. Note the system type, age if known and any access details. These basics focus the conversation without presuming what the home needs.

Make an outage plan around essentials

List what you want operating during an interruption, such as refrigeration, lighting or a well pump if present. Ask how a battery or generator plan would account for starting loads. County emergency resources can help with household readiness, separately from equipment decisions.

Compare projects before changing electrical equipment

For a heat pump, solar, storage or another electrical load, gather a recent utility bill and panel-label photo if safe. Ask what needs checking on site and whether projects should be reviewed together. County-wide planning cannot replace an assessment of your home.

Use local information for local decisions

The County includes two incorporated cities and smaller communities around Clear Lake and elsewhere. Compare nearby community pages or share your town and project details. For wildfire preparedness, use current county guidance rather than assumptions about an address.
